Recipe : Famous Balado Eggplant
Have you ever feel the taste of eggplant with poured chilli sambal? Nah, today i wanna share how to make your own Balado Eggplant. Balado Eggplant is one of favourite local food and easy to find in traditional restaurant. The soft texture from eggplant combine with baalado sauce, made a great sensation in our mouth. But you can made your own now! So lets we start it :)
Main Ingredient :
- 1 eggplant
- 4 shallots
- 3 garlic cloves
- 7 curly red chillies
- 2 candleuts
- 1 tomato
- 1 Indonesian bay leaf
- Salt and sugar to taste
How To Make :
- In a food processor or mortar and pestle grind shallots, garlic cloves, candlenut, and chillies.
- Slices eggplant into 2 pieces, fried until half coked.
- Heat a little cooking oil in a pan, sautee the ground spices and add the tomato also the bay leaves. Add a little of water, salt and sugar. Let it until the tomato begins to wilt.
- Add the half cooked eggplant. Continue cooking until the eggplant cooked through.
- The Balado Eggplants ready to serve.
