Recipe : Famous Squid with Green Sambal


    Back again to seafood lovers! Today recipe is the most popular homemade for Indonesian local. The mix combination taste of salty squid and spice sweet from the green sambal was great! Lets we go to the recipe!


Main Ingredient :

  1. 250 gr Squid ( wash and clean)
  2. 5 green tomatoes ( slice into small sized as picture above)
  3. 3 lime leaves
  4. Salt, sugar and flavour to taste.
  5. Cooking oil
  6. Water
Spices :
  1. 7 shallots
  2. 2 garlic cloves
  3. 80 gr big green chillies
  4. 20 gr birds eye chillies
  5. 4 tbsp vegetable oil
How To Make :
  1. In food processor or mortar and pestle, grind all spices to a smooth paste.
  2. Prepare a pan and water, put the squid and tomato inside and wait until boiled.
  3. Heat a  little cooking oil, sautee the spice paste and add 1 cup of water gradually.
  4. Add salt, sugar and flavour to make sure the taste. 
  5. Add lime leaves and continue while stirring until the spices cooked.
  6. Add the squid and tomatoes and continue cooking until the tomatoes cooked well.
  7. Your squid green sambal ready to serve. usually this dish eaten with rice.
